Carbon Conductive Coating MG CHEMICALS 838AR-340G Total Ground™ aerosol

The MG CHEMICALS 838AR Total Ground™ Carbon Conductive Coating is a one-part durable acrylic lacquer pigmented with a highly conductive carbon powder. It utilizes a solvent based system with no heat cure necessary. The cured coating is smooth, hard, and abrasion resistant. It provides strong adhesion to plastics, good conductivity, excellent low frequency shielding, and strong corrosion resistance, even in marine environments.

RF shielding paint in convenient aerosol spray packaging enabling low volume users to achieve professional results. It consists of a solvent-based acrylic lacquer, pigmented with electroconductive carbon black. It has a quick dry time, with no heat cure necessary. The cured coating is durable and abrasion resistant. It adheres strongly to most injection-molded plastics, such as ABS, PVC, nylon and polycarbonate. It provides strong corrosion resistance and is suitable for use in marine environments.

This carbon spray paint makes and excellent grounding spray, however, it is mostly used as RF shielding paint, also referred to as RF shielding paint may also be referred to as RF paint, RFI shielding paint, RF blocking paint, RF absorbing paint, and RF reflective paint. It is ideal for shielding metal detectors and other devices where a metal-filled conductive coating would cause malfunction.

This aerosol product is also available in liquid and conductive pen formats. We also offer a more conductive nickel version. Our conductive greases can also be useful in grounding applications. Before applying this product to plastic, clean the surface with IPA.
